The Agricol College, Falticeni, the coordinator of the partnership, is an agricultural secondary school from the VET branch, situated in the northern part of Romania, in the South–East of the district of Suceava, with a number of 2600 students and 134 teachers. The educational system is organized in the following fields: agriculture, food industry, tourism and food processing, forestry, environmental protection, mechanics and services, as well as, informatics, history, Romanian language study and other specific fields of activity; the training of the students is carried out at a high – school, vocational and technical level. The Agricol College is a big school that receives students from all social classes, coming mainly from rural areas, mostly from large families with many social and financial problems. The communication with parents is sometimes difficult, due to the fact the educational level of parents is predominantly medium and their involvement in the education of children tends to be minimum. In this view, in our school, education, through its formative aspects must have an active and conscious contribution to prepare young people for the economic activity they are going to develop, so that they become successful members of the modern society, to which must be also added a better, improved and permanent collaboration trainer-trainee-parent-local community.

In the project topic, our institution  will use the opportunity to gain information about the legal framework regarding the involvement of parents in students' school activity and to analyze the specific aspects of parents' activities in all the countries. The identification of good practice and innovation in the project topics will enable participants to directly use these novelties to update their training.

The Foundation “Putnoki Serényi Béla Középiskola Tanulóiért Alapítvány” was established in 1992 by the teachers of "Bela Serényi school, agricultural vocational school Putnok “ founded with the aim to support adult learners. The foundation’s objectives include all activities that support the development of adults. In recent years, the Foundation has helped many adult people financially to attend a course at home and abroad, and to organize learning trips for them. The Foundation primarily supports people from socially disadvantaged families, for example  such who have no funds for the shelter. The facility is located in a socially disadvantaged economically underdeveloped region, one of the poorest in Hungary. The proportion of  the Roma ethnic minority is appr. 50%. This proportion is higher than in other country regions. The foundation is supporting these families, whose young people would not leave school. Especially in the case with with the Roma minority, the proportion of school dropouts is very - high-sometimes higher than 50%. Thus, a very intensive work with parents is necessary. Because most of the problems of the Roma minority memebers come from their own family home. In that reason this project can bring new ideas and a good example of how the Foundation can continue to deal with these problems. The "Béla Serényi school, agricultural vocational school  Putnok “ is visited by 422 students. It would become the natural centre for overcoming the problems of rural area development like high rate of unemployment and low qualification of adult people from minority groups.

The Foundation will organize 4 domestic learning modules for about 80 learners. It will concentrate its work manly among Roma families and Roma parents, who will build up 50% of the project's learners. We'll participate in the project inetrnational meetings with trainers and trainees, coming mainly from rural areas. We'll participate with 4 articles for the project's news letters, will take part in the blog and facebook forums in discussions with other partners. We'll meet with other international local trainers to share our experience.
